We took a break from the heat wave at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor! If you’re like me, and don’t have access to a car for a drive to New Jersey, you can take a bus at Port Authority right to the amusement park! You could do both in a day for sure but I think it’s more fun to do one at a time. There’s a shuttle that runs between the water park and the amusement park but we waited about 30 min for it to get there (and that was after we called customer service who said it should be doing routes in 15 min intervals).
There’s a good number of slides that you can go down solo or in a pair and even a few for whole groups (2-4 people). The lazy river is a ton of fun and so is the wave pool.
Food prices are astronomical but I think it’s just something you start to accept when it comes to amusement parks. ...More

This park is great, they have the highest rollercoaster kinda ka but it was closed the day we went. Most of the rollercoasters was closed but it was still worth the trip.
My friend mentioned that is a bus in Times Square that goes there, otherwise is around 2 hoursfrom from the city.

Six flags is an easier trip to make from NYC and it is so fun! Plenty of arcade games and rides! We went on a weekday and it felt like we had the park mostly to ourselves!...More
