ok fellow young peeps… if you are not signed up for MTC’s $30under30/35 programs you 👏🏽 are 👏🏽 missing 👏🏽 out!!!
🌳 I am not super into musicals but I do love Sondheim (his works: the woods, Company, Sunday in the park with George, Sweeney Todd, lyrics to West Side Story, etc etc.) this piece is a mix of songs from his works & others ~ I enjoyed it thoroughly!!
🤯 It was surreal to see Bernadette Peters live - cannot believe she is 77 and performing!!! The producers—umm how shall I say—deployed her “strategically” i.e. she only did a handful of songs… but also… let the woman live she has performed 18394059393 times already yknow?? Lea Salonga was as flawless as ever though.
👑 I hadn’t been to this particular venue before (Samuel J Friedman theater) - it was gorgeous as you can see in this pics
🗽 Tickets are normally $80-$300+ so I feel super lucky to be able to enjoy culture at this price! I did buy tix wayyyy in advance but it was so worth it. Can you tell I loved my $30 mezzanine seat? 😝...More
