My boyfriend and I are very big on hiking, and we try to get one in every day after work that we do not have other commitments. We really like to try out new spots as often as we can, and luckily we are surrounded by a variety of wonderful trails and parks! We are always amazed by how much local beauty there is that most people aren’t aware of, just beyond our back yards!
Today we got the opportunity to check out yet another fantastic hiking spot, “Richter Park Hiking Trails” right in our town (Danbury, CT!) The trails are right next to the Richter Park Golf Course and it is a beautiful area. The trails take you through the woods, and then occasionally in the midst of the golf course before returning back into the woods again- so you can watch the golfers at certain points! The highlight of today was seeing a wild bobcat in the distance. He was by far the cutest animal I’ve ever seen in the wild- what a cool experience! We will be back here for sure!
