Spring is THE time for art fairs in the city, and yes while you have the really big ones like TEFAF with extraordinary prices, there are also so so many other art fairs with local artists showcasing their art, designs, clothes with beautiful collections across an affordable price range 🥹
My friend forwarded me the details of Renegade Craft which is happening this weekend (April 12-13 till 5 pm) and I would highly recommend stopping by! They have so many items and artworks from ceramics, bags, jewellery, lamps to candles, canvases, art prints, totes and sooo much more!
I loved many little things but I really don’t have any space left in my studio apartment lol 🥲 so I just picked up a couple of small art prints which were just $5 each!! (You can see them in the last two slides) and I love them!! I think it’s a really good souvenir/ and a way to start building a little collection if you would like, even with art prints and postcards that can really add to your room!!
They had art prints from $5 to $85; Candles from $15 from so many artists, and even from Nose Best in Brooklyn, they offer $75 candle workshops there as well in their studio! They had small lamps from $150 and tote bags from $35 as well. Definitely something for everyone and so many options!!
It was a great art fair and hopefully they have it again next year!! ❤️

This weekend in Chelsea, the Renegade Craft Fair on its NYC leg of their tour. I found about it later than I would have liked but am so glad I made time to go. While it was VERY crowded, you were still able to visit any booths you wanted easily enough.
Each vendor/artist was so incredibly talented and the variety of items and wares was vast. Items ranged in price from a few dollars to hundreds of dollars. I could have wandered for hours. The hardest part was making sure you didn’t miss anything!
They had a $5 suggested donation at the door and some beverages for purchase. Many artists also had giveaways! Most artists were local but there were some from all over.
My favorites were:
- Nina Boesch’s metro card art
- Sunnyside Studios cat/food crossover art
- Stephanie Brown’s illustrations
- Affinity Artworks tiny tiny plant ceramics
If you weren’t able to attend, I would definitely check out their list of artists and shop them directly!
