Took this trip at the end of May before Memorial Day weekend. Didn’t have as much free time in college to rip off a camping trip, so me and a hometown buddy took a trip to Red River Gorge in Kentucky
Didn’t expect anything extreme but was totally surprised. This place has some great hiking trails and hiking spots
The Ridge was the best hike out of all of them which encompasses Cathedral Rock and the famous Arch. Hike took around 7 or so hours to complete with up and down terrain but was totally worth it
There were some easier hikes with great views as well. I was able to try out some bouldering and climbing as well. Some spots required more skill but still found areas that were to my level
Overall the trip was amazing and very affordable. I recommend reserving camp sites if you go during the holidays or on weekends...More
