As someone who dreamed of living in Williamsburg + Greenpoint for two years and finally moved to the area this summer, I'm excited to share all my favorite spots!
I didn't include everything in the picture, but I put everything in the caption below!
☕️ Coffee
- KIJITORA: This is the place for real matcha—so thick! I’m from Asia, and I promise this is the closest to what I had in Japan.
- Odd Fox Coffee: Love their coffee! It's also a great place to work. Everyone minds their own business, and the vibe is super chill.
🥐 Bakery
- Radio Bakery: YOU MUST COME HERE! I’ve been three times—the Pistachio Croissant, Lunch Sandwich, and Apple Pie are insane. It usually has a wait, so I go on weekday mornings before heading to the office to skip the line.
🍻 Happy Hour
- TALEA Beer Co: They serve coffee, beer, and have plenty of space to work—such a great remote work spot!
- Fette Sau: They do beer and BBQ (their BBQ is a hidden gem! Highly recommend the beef brisket & pork shoulder). You can come for dinner too!
- Sauced: Not a wine person, but they have a backyard, and the vibe is perfect for chatting.
🛍️ Thrift Store
- Beacon's Closet: It’s a popular spot, and here’s why I go there the most:
1. The place is huge with a wide variety of items, so you’re bound to find something you want.
2. The prices are reasonable—unlike some other thrift stores that are overpriced, you can find a great deal here.
3. You can sell your clothes for cash or in-store credit, then shop again! Super convenient.
🤤 Restaurants (There are so many, so I’ll keep it brief—you won’t regret visiting these!)
- Antidote / Birds of a Feather for Chinese food
- the AM-THAI for Thai food
- Recette for French food
- L'Industrie Pizzeria for pizza
- Beco for Brazilian food
- SCALINO GP / Forma Pasta Factory for Italian food (pasta!)
⛲️ Parks
- McCarren Park
- Domino Park
Enjoy and I really love this area so hope you also love ittttttt, and plz drop your recs!...More

I knew there was hype associated with Radio Bakery but I still decided to try my luck on a sunny Saturday morning. This was my experience:
9:30AM - Arrived on line with 130+ people in front of me
10:30AM - Finally walked inside
10:40AM - Arrived at the front to order at the worst possible time. The breakfast focaccia slices that were made available at 10AM just sold out and they wouldn’t sell us any lunch sandwiches which would be made available at 11AM. EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE RIGHT THERE AND READY! In my hangry frustration I just bought one of everything left… which somehow ended up being $60 for 8 pastries since there are no price tags on the sign.
10:45AM - Thankfully one of the outside tables left so I can sit down to enjoy the pastry while it’s still hot
Pastries I got ranked in order of taste:
Earl Grey Morning Bun - Novel and has the most flavor, recommend
Sesame Scallion Twist - Tastes just like a Chinese scallion pancake but with extra butter, recommend
Bear Claw Pretzel - cheesy and salty, did not expect the combo would work! Recommend
Others that I felt were mid:
Pistachio Croissant - the filling was too rich for me
Chocolate Croissant - there is basically a chocolate bar inside which made this too indulgent
Cornbread - Why is there so much sugar in this??
Mushroom Croissant - Savory croissant which is new but didn’t quite hit home
Would I go back? If there was no wait just to try the breads that got sold out, but don’t think I need to return for its pastries....More

I went to Radio Bakery twice this weekend. I’ve heard about it so much on social media so wanted to try it. We went on Saturday around 11 and the wait was around 5-10 minutes, but when we walked in, their sandwiches weren’t cut and ready even though there were a ton stacked in the back. They told us to wait for 20 minutes or get one of the available pastries which there were only 5-6 options available so we left since we didn’t want to wait.
We tried again on Sunday and this time there were sandwiches available but many of the flavors were sold out so we ended up getting their burrata prosciutto sandwich and their ham and kale pesto sandwich along with another cheese pastry. Was it good? The quality of the ingredients were good but flavor wise it was lacking. Nothing stood out to me and it just didn’t have that wow factor that I had anticipated. On top of that each sandwich was $15 which was such a steep price. 💰
Would I come back? I personally wouldn’t because it seems like they’re always out of popular stock and the cost of what I’m paying for is simply to high. I’m not a sandwich person too so that doesn’t help 😅
Rating 6/10 overhyped and didn’t try the most popular items from social media ...More
NY Memories
Radio bakery in greenpoint is my favorite bakery in the city. I’ve visited multiple times and loved every pastry and sandwich I’ve gotten.
There’s typically a line on weekends but it moves fast, I would come with friends so you can split more items!
There’s limited seating outside the bakery. The menu changes seasonally, I would check their instagram to see what they have currently!...More

I’m a firm believer that Greenpoint has one of the most underrated food scenes, and Radio Bakery is an excellent example!
The cafe/bakery has an extensive assortment of both savory sandwiches (I recommend one on their focaccia) and sweet pastries. The earl grey morning bun was absolutely to die for, and something I will definitely be returning for!
There was a decent sized line (maybe ~20 people) on a Saturday early afternoon, but it went relatively quickly, and I think I only waited up to 15 mins tops....More
