Tonight, I spent my evening enjoying a solo date at Prince Tea House! One pot of tea later, here’s my review: What I ordered: Vegetarian Afternoon Tea for One. Includes: 5 sandwiches, 3 desserts, 1 scone w/ jam + clotted cream, and 90 minutes of tea refills for $37. Favorites: -Swiss and Tomato Sandwich: Warm and flakey and the touch of mustard made it out of this world! 5/5 -Lemon Tart: Topped with lemon zest and absolutely delicious! 5/5 Least Favorites: -Cucumber and Tzatziki Sandwich: I didn’t like this, however I don’t usually enjoy cucumbers so I’m sure the sandwich would be enjoyable if that’s your thing! 2/5 -Truffle Egg Salad Sandwich: I’m not generally an egg salad fan but I’m honestly not even sure an egg salad fan would really enjoy this since the truffle was so overpowering. Personally, I would reduce the truffle and increase the salt. 1/5 -Raspberry Macron: Mediocre, tastes exactly like the ones you would buy at costco, definitely not made at the restaurant. I wish they had done three made in house desserts instead of having the macron. The desserts they made in house were much, MUCH better. 2.5/5 The service was amazing and the food portions were huge for just one person! Also, I read on the menu that you can order the afternoon tea for one and share with other people! However, if you share, be aware that they will only give you one pot of tea instead of the unlimited amount so make sure to factor that in when deciding between afternoon tea for one, two, or three! They also have brunch options until 6pm, a full dessert menu, salads, sandwiches, and even cocktails that you can order a la carte! Additionally, the waiter who collected my card realized that my order had accidentally been ringed in with the tea as an additional charge and fixed it without me even realizing that there had been a mistake in the first place! That level of service, amazing food, and unlimited tea for only $40 + tip? Definitely worth it! Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...More
