📍 The Powder Room , Dumbo Brooklyn
I was so excited to attend this date night makeup class. I love makeup and have always wanted to take a class where I could learn new techniques and how to do makeup in a way that photographs well. The class was 2.5 hours and the location was decorated so aesthetically it belongs on a pinterest board it was the cutest🥹 The attention to detail in decor didn’t go unnoticed. I loved so many details such as the clothing racks, the large mirror and producer chairs that felt like you were getting your makeup professionally done for a shoot, the photo station with the powder room logo/vintage decor and props to take photos, the living room coffee table that had treats like candy, cookies, and brownies, and of course the area we did our makeup that had led light up mirrors and so many items for us to curate the perfect look!
The setup at the makeup area had so many items to get started we were given makeup brushes, a beauty blender, bioderma micellar water, moisturizer, laneige lip mask, and a notepad to write our notes which was a cute touch. I loved how all the products used during the makeup routine were high end brands and great quality, I was able to try different products I haven’t before that were on my makeup bucket list. Jenna our instructor was so sweet! She guided us throughout each step really well and since there were only 5 of us she really gave everyone attention individually if they needed help. If you didn’t like a certain product or didn’t think you had the correct shade of something she always made sure to make the alteration and make everyone happy and feel beautiful. I learned so much from her🤍
I wish the class taught more such as nose contouring and more complex eye techniques but I recommend the date night class for an elevated natural look💋💄They have other classes on their page. The powder room was an amazing experience! I won this experience thanks to the tried and true raffle and boy was it an EXPERIENCE… Not only is it led by the nicest person ever Jenna, but she really cares for you to feel like it’s a girls night and we’re all getting ready, she helps you understand every single step with a lot of care and makes sure you feel supported throughout the entire class. I love dabbling into new makeup techniques and think this class to be perfect for anyone just starting out with makeup and trying to feel more confident navigating it. The space has amazing photo opportunities, moments and even an entire thrifting section, I would highly recommend this experience as I think me and all the fellow ladies who attended had a blast and I’d love to do it again.
Side note: she also makes sure to keep track of all the products you used to create your glam, and send you a recap so if you’d like to purchase anything it makes the process easier and less intimidating ✨...More

i've always wanted to try and figure out how to do guasha properly and finally found the perfect experience to go to 😆
this was a class on hosted by "powder room", a very cute beauty and makeup studio (their current pop-up is in dumbo, bk) 💋
jenna was soo sweet and patient with us- everything was provided (face oils, makeup wipes, hair claws) and the class was very hands-on ✋ it was super interesting seeing the difference on my face afterwards 🤣
they have other classes like date night makeup too and u literally dont need to bring ANYTHING 🙂↕️ they also have a little corner for vintage goodies u can shop for 🛍️...More

Although I’ve learned how to do Gua Sha on my own, this class was definitely an amazing experience & I wish I would’ve attended a class like this sooner!
@Jenna was a great instructor, she was very patient & it was easy to understand her guidance for the class.
Not only have I learned so many new techniques I never knew before but I’ve definitely gained new knowledge which I am excited to incorporate into my selfcare routine.
I honestly think this class helped de-puff & lift my face while also relaxing the tense muscles I didn’t know existed.
So, if you’ve been curious about trying Gua Sha or just need a serious self-care moment, this is your sign to reserve your spot!
You’ll definitely thank me later.

My review of the Gua Sha & lymphatic drainage class:
- It was a great experience, the room was beautiful and I learned some new things. 🥰
- The person that teaches the class is so nice. Sometimes she goes a little fast with her explanation. But when you ask she slows it down or explains again.
- Not only does she give classes, but she has a few vintage items. It is definitely worth taking a look. 😊
Only down side is that the studio wasn’t easy to find, there could have been more information. So if you end up going and you can’t find the place message her through instagram.
