such a fun popup! located at pier 36 (299 south street) from june 19-29, hermes is hosting a popup in which you play along with others as detectives to find 30 missing horses. the experience takes you through 6 different sets, all wonderfully designed, where you get an allotted amount of time to find 5 horses in each location. each session lasts about an hour. at the end of the experience, each detective will receive a coloring book/journal! open to the public and free! walk ins are allowed but limited, so reservations are preferred. in the event that all timeslots are fully booked, walk-ins are welcome between 11:00am – 1:00pm, 2:30pm - 3:45pm and 5:00pm - 6:30pm. overall, it was really fun! i recommend for the experience and the photo ops throughout :-) #hermes #popup ...More

🐎 Last week, French luxury brand Hermès (and when you’re with me you better pronounce it right, it’s ‘Air•Mehz’) held an immersive pop up at Pier 36. In this interactive experience, guests get to play detective to find the 30 missing horses from the grooms’. 🔎 I love walking through a set and this popup had 6 different scenes to explore: a refectory, stockroom, office, pantry, laundry, and dormitory. Throughout each room laid clues and the horses they led to showcasing Hermès’ iconic leather goods, scarves, home goods, lighting and perfumes. For a brand that started out making saddles in 1837, these goods are far from rugged and more so fashion for nobles. 🕵🏾‍♀️ The clues were easy enough to solve but with enough steps to be interesting all the while allowing us peasants to get up close to pieces we would otherwise be too poor to set foot in their Madison Avenue storefront. Overall, Hermès’ hand at its first NYC popup is like its brand, a cut above the rest, with its thoughtfully planned layout and well planned timing and game design. ...More

I had the chance to check out the Mystery at the Groom’s Hermès pop-up, and it was definitely an experience to remember. The entire event felt like stepping into a luxury dream! Hermès spared no expense. Each room was fabulously decorated, immersive, and had some clever puzzles. 💰It was completely free!! That said, the experience was unfortunately a bit dampened by how crowded it was. I went on a Friday afternoon and it felt packed to the brim. The overwhelming crowd made it difficult to enjoy the interactive elements the way they were intended. Overall, it was a unique and fun event and if the crowd level had been lower, it would’ve been near perfect! If you’re planning to go, definitely reserve a ticket, they do take walk ins but you should expect to wait!...More
