Thankfully the new S’more tool makes it so easy to compare menus for restaurant week cuz it’s the actual menu that matters!! Lots of restaurants offering like gem salads and a little roast chicken for $60, not falling for that!!
After some comparison Pete’s Tavern looked the best in menu selection, lots of options and $45 for 3 courses.
The portions are FULL SIZE portions, which is important - some restaurants give individual tiny portions for restaurant week diners. Look at the size of that tuna nachos!!
You can expect American classics, taste wise I’d say it’s a tiiiiiny leg up from a normal diner. The best deal though is the Steak frites which is $6 extra but the pepper sauce that came with it is chefs kiss. Also the steak is a good chunk of meat I believe it’s a sirloin cut, not a flimsy piece of flank steak.
Lava cake came out warm and tasted great. They also had very affordable drinks pairings, $30 bottle wines and $12 cocktails, so whole dinner is budget friendly in comparison to other restaurants.
Warning about service and crowd though, understandably it’s packed so people will be on top of you. We got into a bit of a situation with the waiters over tips but I’d like to believe it’s more of a single incident. Still recommend checking it out if you’ve been curious about Pete’s Tavern!
