As an avid reader, bookstores are some of my favorite places to visit. Though Iāll admit that I do need to be in the mood to sift through a used bookstore, Iāve found my favorite in Chicago: Open Books is a non-profit bookstore where all books are from $2-4āand all goes to fund literacy programs for kids. Kids books are free. So you can read with a good conscience!
They have a few locations, but this one is their Pilsen location (905 W 19th St) A heads up: the entrance looks a bit like a warehouse so it may be difficult to find the door!
It looks like they have some cool events lined up as well, which I havenāt been to, but might check out in the future...More
