I first tried Nick’s pizza over two years ago when I ordered it to my house having a movie night with friends. It went down so well and we really enjoyed it. I was excited to have it again and soon went to order it again, however, I noticed it was no longer available online.
I was sad to think it may be closed then walking by, I saw a poster than the restaurant had sadly been forced to close due to a fire. For two years I walked by the former restaurant with the poster.
This month, two years later, I was so happy to discover that they have reopened and the restaurant was busy and full of people.
I went back to dine in this time and there was a queue out the door (we love to see it for local businesses). The queue moved very quick though and once inside we were given a great corner dining booth and the staff were all so friendly and lovely.
Then the pizza. Remarkably, it was even better than I remembered. For one I find it hard to choose between a white slice and a red slice so something that is really cool about this restaurant is that they have a half and half option. It was perfect, both the red with pepperoni and the white slice with ricotta were incredible. I would give it 6/5 stars if I could. THIS is now my favorite New York pizza and I high recommend everyone goes here.
Note: they have a nice little desert selection too including cheesecake and tiramisu. We just have not tried that yet :)...More
