this is one of those corners of gems that connects you back to the city. ♥️
1. NINTH STREET ESPRESSO
(the one on ninth street) great coffee, great people
2. LA PLAZA COMMUNITY GARDEN
take that coffee across the street to one of the most underrated pieces of paradise... it’ll steal your heart (I warned you). there’s a hammock, little pond, wifi if you wanna click clack a bit, and they even grow medicinal plants that you’re welcome to pick
3. MUSEUM OF RECLAIMED URBAN SPACE
another really special spot. this non profit museum archives the history of activist movements in the Lower East Side (including what we now call the East Village). Really cool— I think this is an important thing for anyone living in NYC to experience.
