I just checked out this new dessert spot in Flushing, New York called Mr. Bear! It’s a small place, but their cakes are incredible. They have chocolate, original, and strawberry flavors. Chocolate was definitely my favorite! The cakes are big enough to share with a few people, and they’re about $19 each. Totally worth the stop!...More

Best Ube Japanese cheesecake. This new place called MR. Bear has 4 different flavors of the most fluffy and airy Japanese cheesecake. It’s the perfect amount of sweet and you can finish half the cake in one sitting! The chocolate and ube one was my favorite! They also have this cute heart shaped strawberry one. 🍓 This whole area has other great dessert and tea options as well and a park. I tried Mr. Bear Cotton Cheesecake in Flushing after spotting their super cute cheesecakes. I’d never heard of cotton cheesecakes before and had to give it a shot! The staff was really welcoming, and while they only had a few options, it felt like a good sign since it’s clearly their specialty. I went with the chocolate one, and while the texture was impressively light and airy, the flavor just didn’t do it for me. It was a bit bland, especially since I’m used to richer, sweeter cheesecakes. I’m glad I gave it a try, but I don’t think cotton cheesecake is really my thing....More
