I’ve been attending classes at Modega Dance Studio NYC for a few months now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best dance studios I’ve ever been to! The studio offers a wide variety of classes, ranging from beginner to advanced levels, and the instructors are not only incredibly skilled but also passionate about helping each student grow.
The atmosphere at Modega is welcoming and supportive — whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned dancer, you feel encouraged every step of the way. The instructors take the time to provide individual feedback, ensuring that everyone gets the attention they need to improve. Plus, the choreography is always fresh and challenging, keeping the classes engaging and fun!...More

Took a 3 month hiatus due to a sprained ankle and finally went back to class this week. EXTREMELY nervous. I was so worried that I wouldn’t be able to remember the choreography and make a fool of myself in class. Even though I’ve been dancing on an off for a year, remembering choreo still stresses me out.
First class back and first time taking Bo Belza’s class and it was just what I needed. Every time Bo runs through the moves and before music starts (every 5 mins), he’d remind everyone to BREATHE. That class is a place to make mistakes, it’s not that serious and just to have fun with it - move with your body not your mind. That we’re always our own worst critics. He’d lead everyone through breathing exercises multiple times during class🥹
Such a simple thing but so crucial for beginner dancers. Dancing in front of other people is vulnerable at first, but Bo’s teaching style creates such a comforting place.
He taught this one at Modega, I know he teaches at PMT and Peridance too. Go take!! ...More
