Max’s Restaurant has a nostalgic, busy vibe. The crowd leaned older and local, which I always take as a good sign.
We got the crispy pork belly kare kare—delicious and super satisfying with its creamy peanut sauce.
Tried the cockscomb oil too, a unique texture, soft and gelatinous. Interesting on its own, but a bit too rich alongside the pork belly.
The coconut dessert had a tropical, earthy flavor—unexpected but enjoyable.
Great portion sizes, friendly staff, and a real taste of Filipino comfort food....More
