Enjoyed lunch today at Little Italy in the BX 🇮🇹
Arthur Avenue has so many gems, but here’s a breakdown of what my hubby and I did:
First Stop: Zero Otto Nove
- The interior of the restaurant resembles a patio in Italy with exposed brick and beautiful natural light. We had the clams oreganata for our app and for our main we chose their Linguini al Nero Di Seppia e Calamari and the Mafalde in Cartoccio. We definitely want to come back to try more of their menu!
Next Destination: Oyster Bar
- We had to try out the oyster bar at Cosenza’s Fish Market. We had the Kumamoto oysters that were amazing. A group next to us had multiple rounds and I don’t blame them.
Sweet Treat: Madonia Bakery
- For dessert we ordered fresh cannolis from Madonia’s. My family has been coming here for generations to buy Italian cookies. I will let the cannoli pic speak for itself. Keep in mind they only accept cash.
Final Stop: Arthur Avenue Retail Market
- We explored the many food vendors and shops inside. They have live cigar rolling and The Bronx Beer Hall, where I tried their Summer Lushie. It's a blend of red sangria & limoncello, topped with a shot of Kurosawa sake. It was perfect for this NYC heat.
The greatest part? All these places are conveniently located on the same block. I can’t wait to go back ❤️
Side Note: It’s super close to The Bronx Zoo, The Botanical Garden, and not far from Yankee Stadium if you want to make a day out of it. ...More
