I think I may have stumbled upon the ultimate brunch deal in central NJ…
From 11 AM - 2 PM on Sundays, MJs in Matawan, NJ has brought back their brunch bar! For $37.99 for adults and $19 for kids 9 and under, I simply could not believe the amount of food.
Guys, my pictures do not even scratch the surface (there were large crowds by a lot of the food, so I only snapped ones of the salad bar, Asian station, and dessert station). There was also eggs, French toast, pastry and bagels - chicken francaise, penne vodka, pizza, french fries, chicken tenders, charcuterie - a carving station?! This was crazy, you guys. Oh, and that wasn’t it, either. There was an additional menu you can place made to order foods from the kitchen - I had a two egg omelette and my friends had avacado toast, all were incredible. I had several plates and I’m now laying on my couch in a food comma.
My only note is that I know many price fixed brunch places do come with a mimosa or breakfast beverage - this one didn’t, though you could order from the bar. I dunno, it didn’t bother me any personally at this price point (especially during dry January). For those also participating in dry January or non-drinkers, I recommend ordering a seltzer with a splash of OJ to give that mimosa feel. 🍊🥂
Make a reservation beforehand because it got very crowded around noon (understandably so!)...More
