Le Cat Cafe in Philly is so cute! Even from the outside, you can see cats snuggled up in the Paris-themed display. All of the cats there are able to be adopted. You can also volunteer and/or foster here!
🐱Tickets are $11 for half an hour, or $17 each for a full hour ($15 for students/military/seniors with ID), and includes interacting with the kitties. They host monthly events to raise funds to support the cats like yoga and art classes, so check their website for details. There's also a complimentary Keurig machine where you can make coffee, tea or hot cider. I loved the gumball machine that dispenses treats-- I became a cat magnet immediately! A small container of cat treats was 25¢.
🐾Most of the cats are very sweet, and having treats definitely helps entice them to come to you. These cats were found on the streets, fixed and vaccinated. Merch is also available for purchase, like tote bags, shirts and hoodies. All donations and proceeds go to the Green Street Rescue which runs/supports the cafe.

If you’re even slightly obsessed with cats, head to Le Cat Cafe NOW. Booking a visit is easy—just head to lecatcafe.org, click "Book a Visit", fill out a quick waiver, and grab a 1-hour café admission. We had a 3 PM slot but showed up almost an hour early, and the staff just checked our IDs and let us in. Speaking of IDs—don’t forget yours, especially if you booked a student ticket.
Most of the cats are absolute sweethearts, though one or two gave us the “I’m done with humans” glare after a long day of attention (fair enough, right?). And here’s the best part: every single cat here is up for adoption. If one decides you’re the one, just hit the "Adopt Now" button on their homepage.
If you’re making a day of it, the Philadelphia Zoo is just around the corner—cats first, lions second? Perfect plan. ...More

Basically an adoption center (~20 cats of all ages and sizes) without the pressure to adopt + self serve Keurig coffee/tea. If you’re looking for gourmet refreshments this is not the place, but there are plenty of opportunities to play with and observe many many cats. Toys and treats are available and there are a variety of places to hang out with the cats, from a sunny windowsill to tables. ...More
