This was a while back, but I went to a “paint and sip” type event at Last Place on Earth in Brooklyn and had a great time! I’d never been there before and I hadn’t painted minis before either so it was a bit of an adventure. They provided painting supplies and minis and it was a super chill evening. People were pretty focused on their work, but there was some chatting and no one was at all gatekeep-y—very much all skill levels welcome. I painted these two minis and the whole thing cost about $15 for the evening.
The space itself was very nice too. It was open and comfortable with just all around good vibes. They host a lot of events there and I plan to go back!...More
