Alexia in NYC
After a long day at work, I can look forward to my Thursday ritual. You’ve likely already guessed it… gallery hopping.
I have it down to a science: I follow @thirstygallerina on Instagram and use the SeeSaw app to stay up to date on the latest happenings in the Chelsea art scene. Though, if you throw a rock between 10th and 11th ave, you are bound to hit a gallery. Usually, the galleries provide wine. If I’m lucky, they might have champagne or beer. Though shows typically run from 5–8 PM, it’s best to arrive before 7:00 so they don’t run out. It’s a fun and free activity to do with friends. I love seeing all the art and chatting with the artists.
Afterwards, I usually wander up to the High Line and enjoy those last glimmers of sunset. Such a perfect art afternoon....More
