I went skiing this weekend—my second time ever. The first time I tried it, I didn’t enjoy it at all! But this year, I wanted to give it another shot.
$55 covered everything—ski lessons, equipment rental, and access to the green (beginner) routes. If you wanted to venture onto the more challenging slopes, it was an extra $45, which was still much cheaper than their $188 unlimited pass.
The lessons made all the difference this time. The instructors were fantastic—patient, clear, and they gave proper feedback to help us improve. My first skiing experience was rough partly because the lessons back then barely covered the basics. We were shown how to control our skis, but not much beyond that. This time, I actually felt like I was learning how to ski.
The vibe at the resort was great too. The food was reasonably priced—nothing to rave about, but it did the job, and for the price, I wasn’t complaining. Plus, they had a bar with live music, which was a fun way to wind down after a day on the slopes.
Safe to say, I am glad I gave it another try!...More
