📍 1026 Falling Branch Road, Pylesville, Maryland 21132 This spot is family friendly and it is not a long walk at all to find the waterfall! The hike to the waterfall took roughly 10 minutes (about a half of a mile), but there are MANY more trails to wonder. This waterfall is 17 feet tall, making it the second tallest waterfall in Maryland! 🅿️ You do not need a parking permit before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. We went in the fall, but in the summer, it does get fairly busy. Parking is easily accessible, but may be a little more difficult if it is super busy. There is an option to reserve a spot for the weekends and holidays. ⛰️ You are able to swim in this water, even though my pictures do not show this. The water is fairly deep, though not deep enough to jump off of the waterfall. The rocks are a little slippery but we wore normal sneakers and were fine. Be mindful the route you take to get to the waterfall, as there are quite a few if you're adventurous. There are a lot of rocks and tree roots, I would not consider this to be a flat hike. We hopped across the small rocks to the other side of the water, but it is probably best to walk to the top of the waterfall and then come down that way (you will see the way I am talking about, but it is hard to explain over typing.) Happy hiking besties!...More
