Jim Kempner Fine Art is one of my favorite galleries in Chelsea!! The building itself is unique—spanning a good few floors with large windows. The design of the gallery elevates the experience and really complements the art/sculptures
What really sets this gallery apart though is the man behind it: Jim Kempner (In the first photo!) he’s an art dealer and a very charismatic personality, he’s usually at the gallery and sometimes even provides entertaining tours of the gallery and art! He’s worked with many incredible artists and knows the stories behind each piece.. if you’re lucky enough to meet him during your visit, it’ll be a highlight!! His humor and passion for art also come through in his web series The Madness of Art, which is equal parts hilarious and insightful—a must-watch for anyone interested in the art world. :’)
The gallery is free to enter,and on Thursday evenings, they often host opening nights where you can enjoy free wine and drinks while mingling with artists and other visitors!...More
