I’ve passed by Hokkaido on 2nd Ave between 10th and 11th St countless times, but today it finally called my name. The enticing offer of a free iced coffee with any pastry purchase was too good to resist. Who doesn’t love free iced coffee?
Stepping inside, I was greeted by the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked pastries. Hokkaido is known for its deliciously flavored cheese tarts, and I’ve been dying to try them. The selection was incredible, with a variety of flavors that made it hard to choose just one.
I opted for three flavors: the original, Sakura, and hojicha cheese tarts. Each one was a delightful experience. The original was creamy and rich, the Sakura had a delicate floral note, and the hojicha brought a unique, earthy flavor. Pairing them with my complimentary iced coffee made the experience even better.
Hokkaido has a charming atmosphere, friendly staff, and an unbeatable promotion. If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this gem. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their delightful pastries!
