So much fun for a group!!! They have a menu of different art activities to do and then you can pay additional price for what you’d like to paint and then 4 weeks later you’re able to go pick it up once it’s glazed or they ship for $25!
To secure your spot, you pay a $20 non-refundable deposit ($15 is the venue’s required deposit and will go toward your bill, and $5 is to help cover the 20% surcharge that applies for groups of 10+).

A few weeks ago, I spent an afternoon at Happy Medium in Greenpoint painting a mug and I finally got to pick up the finished piece! 🎨🖌️
It took about 4 weeks for glazing and firing (a little longer than expected), but totally worth the wait. The colors turned out so much more vibrant than I imagined. I went with a friend and had such a fun time. It was a great creative hang. “Paint-a-pot” was $28, but overall cost varied depending on what you choose to paint (mugs, vases, dishes, etc.). Definitely recommend for a chill, artsy day!
There’s a location in the city (49 Market St.) as well if Greenpoint is a little too out the ways....More

I decided to try Happy Medium in Greenpoint because it’s the only arts and crafts café I could find with outdoor seating. I chose their “paint a pot” option, which has a set fee for the session (usually up to two hours) plus the cost of whichever pottery piece you select. The real highlight for me was the garden, with its lovely pond and a bird feeder. I haven’t tried their other crafts yet, but their selection looks solid. Overall, it’s a cute spot for a calm date or a creative afternoon with a friend....More
