This Korean speakeasy, on 30th St. is the perfect place for any intimate occasion or date spot. This speakeasy is located inside of OkDongsik, behind their tile doors, all the way to the back. Created by an Angel Share alum, this Prohibition/ Golden Age themed speakeasy offers meticulously crafted and complex cocktails new to anyone experiencing. This bar also pays an homage to cinema with a lot of bits and motifs across the bar, and with the creations of their cocktails. The cocktails names are all based on mainly American or Korean films with some popular cocktails being the Don “Michael” Corleone, Old Boy, and The Most Beautiful Moment in Life. With a large selection of signature cocktails, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The bar also carries a nice whiskey/whisky portfolio as well for the enthusiasts.
They take reservations through Resy from 6-11pm, but are open to walk-ins as well. It is a sit-down only bar and a very small space. They say on the sign at the door that the largest party size is for 6. I’d definitely recommend coming right when they open or towards the end of their reservation window and after. They are open till 2am but will do last call at 1am so keep that in mind. The restaurant will also close before the bar, but you can still enter the space as a whole. The bar will leave a trail of candles in the restaurant till around 1 so you can see they are still open and serving drinks.

This speakeasy is tucked inside the Korean restaurant OKDONGSIK. You have to walk through the restaurant and push open a door at the back to discover the bar’s hidden vibe. Reservations can be tough to get, so it’s best to book in advance! The menu is limited; we tried the grilled sausage, which was just okay, so it’s better to eat beforehand. The cocktails are excellent, with each one offering a unique twist. I highly recommend the Double “O” Seven—it’s unexpectedly delicious!
