Ruff Around is an event hosted monthly at Fiction Bar by Gabby Policano and Charlotte Weinman. The purpose of Ruff Around is to create a space for artists, writers, comedians, etc to share work that is in rough stages. Think of it as sort of an open mic of sorts! But you can share any work in progress. It’s open to anyone, just slide into their DMs and they’ll try to get you up on the roster ASAP if you want to share something.
As an audience member, it was so fun and inspiring to see people get up and share their work. With drinks! The ticket pricing is $12 so not too bad at all, especially knowing that I’m supporting artists.
Definitely recommend for viewing and for sharing!

I found this spot one weekend in Brooklyn, such a fan! I love the vibe in there, very chill and friendly spot. There were people there working in their laptops, people reading, and people meeting up to chat.
I stayed there for a couple hours and did some work, has WIFI and bathroom and great coffee.
I see that they have free live jazz and other events, I would love to go one day!
