Genius or gimmicky!? Well, this “facial fitness” spot from London had been on my radar for a while & I wanted to find out! I usually get hydrafacials but wanted to switch it up and see what the hype was all about. I went to the Upper East Side location for the signature sculpt. The space is similar to the Glow Bar / Silver Mirror / etc. setup + business model but even less private, which I don’t mind but also don’t love for a pampering session. My aesthetician (or “trainer” 🤨) was really nice although we didn’t talk too much about my skin prior to the “workout”. • 45 minute service, which includes “10 min” consultation… so really more like ~30 mins • Starts with cleansing with a hot towel, a delightful face massage with oil & cold gua sha • They also massage your face with a large red rubber ball 🔴 (?!) I thought this would be pointless but it actually felt really nice • Used a machine similar to NuSculpt and boy do your face muscles TWITCH! • I picked an exfoliating add-on (comp’d from a previous scheduling mishap on their end) that was delivered as a fine powerful mist sprayed on your face… not particularly pleasant lol. I would not have paid the additional $100+ for this • Clubby music & loud machine noises from other face workouts next to you, not the most relaxing vibe… Overall, I’m glad I tried it, it was enjoyable and my face did feel more glowy and “snatched” after, but not sure I’d go back given value for money. Maybe to try the buccal massage I’ve also been meaning to try. I remember seeing a 20% discount floating around the internet (Social20?) but I’d call to verify on first-time specials. 💸 $135+ 📍 UES/NoHo/elsewhere - Manhattan 🧖🏽‍♀️ Self-care & wellness 💻 USA.FaceGym.com...More
