South Florida Guide
Doris Italian Market & Bakery started as a mom and pop shop in 1947, and to me it still has that kind of feel. Now this Italian-American deli has five locations in south Florida including Boca Raton, North Palm Beach, Pembroke Pines, Coral Springs, and Sunrise. I went to the Sunrise/Plantation location.
Doris Italian Market boasts an impressive selection of cheeses, baked goods, and Italian foods. And their produce consistently looks amazing. Some of my favorite things to buy here are broccolini and Italian ice. The make their own mozzarella and burrata.
The stores tend to have a 4/5 star Yelp rating, which is lower than I would’ve guessed. The only negative I’ve experienced at Doris is that they close really early. But I also don’t come here super regularly because, well, again - they close so early.
While you’re in the shopping center for the Sunrise/Plantation location, I highly recommend trying the fish restaurant called Tin Fish. https://shortlink.smore.city/NhrI
