A couple of weeks ago, my boyfriend and I were craving some fresh air and exercise. We’ve been to most local hiking spots, but we managed to discover a new one after doing a little research. We headed over to “Collis Huntington State Park” and we have visited 2-3 more times since, and plan on making it our new regular spot. I couldn’t believe we have such a beautiful and large place so close by-WOW!
If you want to get outside, this is truly the perfect place for anyone. The walk begins with a few fairly flat open fields, a beautiful place to walk if you don’t want it to be too hilly. Then, you can enter the trail in the woods. This trail is so scenic! It takes you to Huntington Pond which is a big, lovely pond. During our walk, we’ve seen many horseback riders as well which was a surprising and fun addition. There are several benches throughout the park if you’d like to pack lunch! There is also endless field space if you’d like to pack a blanket and make a picnic with friends/family! We quickly fell in love with this place and I know it’s going to be a popular spot for us to visit. I highly recommend visiting and checking this place out! You will be glad you did!
