Ever visited Manhattan West? As a native New Yorker, it's new territory for me, encompassing a tiny park, various eateries, Whole Foods, and more. It's somewhat elusive initially, especially for first-time visitors like myself, but nestled in its depths is an Italian restaurant. On a frigid, windy Wednesday night, this establishment was BUZZING! As you step inside and ascend the staircase, a hostess will welcome you. To your left is a sight of wine bottles that would mesmerize any wine enthusiast or sommelier. Think high-end dining. It’s the kind of place I’d suggest making a reservation at before you visit. It boasts a sizable bar with petite couches and duo seating surrounding the area. The place is HUGE. The menu offers an array of Italian fare, including the irresistible MUST TRY Cast Iron Focaccia with Tomato Conserva—my mouth waters at the thought. If you order one thing, make it this. For my main, I chose the Rigatoni alla Gricia. ANOTHER must-try. It features crunchy guanciale and black pepper. It's akin to cacio e pepe but uses rigatoni instead of the usual pasta shape and includes guanciale. The portions can be pretty generous, so be wise and order one or two starters + one main course/entree pp (per person). The Rigatoni alla Gricia was soon followed by dessert. Despite my already full stomach, I had to find extra space, so I ordered the chocolate budino topped with an espresso zabaglione. Some might argue that having espresso (in any form) at 10 pm is unwise, but sleep is for the faint-hearted. No regrets. If you're searching for a fancy post-work drink spot or a swanky date night, give this place a go. To end the evening, a peaceful sit-down in the small park area would be ideal, weather permitting

My partner and I recently celebrated our 4-month anniversary at CI Simao, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped inside, we knew we were in for a treat.
🍽️ Culinary Delights:
We started with the caramelized onion tart, and oh my goodness, it was a flavor explosion! The sweetness of the onions paired perfectly with the flaky pastry. A delightful appetizer that set the tone for the rest of our meal.
Next up was the linguine. Cooked to perfection, the pasta was al dente, and the sauce had just the right amount of heat. The extra chili added a delightful kick—definitely a highlight!
The trout stole the show. Well-seasoned and expertly cooked, it was tender and flavorful. The stuffing was a delightful surprise, and we savored every bite.
🍽️ Open Kitchen Magic:
CI Simao’s open kitchen concept allowed us to witness the culinary magic firsthand. Watching the chefs prepare our dishes added an extra layer of excitement to our dining experience.
The attention to detail and precision in the kitchen was evident—the mark of a truly exceptional restaurant.
🌆 Ambience:
The ambience at CI Simao was enchanting. Soft lighting, elegant decor, and soothing music created a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere.
We were lucky to get a good seat, which made our celebration even more special. The staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort.
🥃 Sunday Sip:
The dessert selection left a bit to be desired, but the whisky with a sweet twist was a pleasant surprise. It rounded off our meal beautifully.
Sometimes, unexpected choices turn out to be the best ones!
🌟 Final Verdict: CI Simao is a gem—a place where culinary artistry meets warm hospitality. Highly recommended for special occasions or any day you want to indulge in exceptional food and ambiance. We’ll definitely be back!

Ci Siamo has been on my list to visit for months and it was just as delicious as I hoped! We ordered the focaccia, green salad, beans (my favorite), rigatoni (also incredible), crab pasta, basque cheesecake, and lemon torta. The martini and Negroni were delicious as well.
We celebrated our anniversary there and service was great - we even got a little candle during dessert!
For some tips: we used in-kind to get 20% back! That’s huge savings, and if you use my referral you can get $25 off your meal as well. https://app.inkind.com/refer/UMOMEEAY there are plenty of other restaurants like Gramercy Tavern, The Modern, Maman on the platform as well. ...More

This place is a sleeper. It is definitely not talked about enough even though it's in the Michelin guide. Ci Siamo can definitely compete with other top Italian restaurants, but I feel like no one knows about it the way they know about other spots.
I would highly recommend the food here! The caramelized onion torta is enough to make me run back here, such a flavorful dish, a must get if coming here. The pizzette was good too just not as good as the torta. The rigatoni was superb and the gnocco fritto was tasty too. We pretty much got all their most popular dishes.
I’m not a huge dessert person at restaurants but the lemon torta looked too good to pass up and it did not disappoint, really delicious! The restaurant is a huge open space which I loved, I’m not a huge fan of cramped and small restaurants and its gorgeous and located right next to the high line!
I think this spot deserves a lot more attention....More
