ktown's cho dang gol (초당골) features weekday lunch specials from 1-3pm!
they’re best known for their assorted tofu stews, an ideal dish for the chilly season 😮💨 the tofu used at cho dang gol is homemade, ensuring it's fresh, tasty, & healthy! 🌱
my unnie friend & i opted for the lunch special combo, letting you select a mini main (bulgogi, spicy pork, or spicy pollock) & a mini tofu stew (with a wide variety!).
i picked the perilla seed tofu stew (들깨참두부) & paired it with the spicy pork (초당 두부두루치기). the spice level was just right 🌶️ they also serve a range of side dishes (반찬), which were incredibly delicious, & they offer free refills!
our lunch combo was $19.99, while other regular specials were roughly $15.99-$17.99. definitely a good deal for ktown.
p.s. it’s the holiday season, so don't miss their 🌰chestnut makgeoli (막걸리), a korean rice wine 🍶. it’s the perfect accompaniment to traditional korean meals during the holidays!...More

Cho Dang Gol is a very delicious option if you love Korean food. It is always busy and there is a waitlist that you can join.
They offer a wide variety of dishes and they are known for their fresh made tofu!! We tried the Spicy Budae Hot pot and it was amazing. Highly recommend if you want stew for two. The entrees also come with side dishes of kimchi and hot tea. 🍵
The restaurant itself is very cozy and they offer cozy and comforting authentic Korean food. The prices are good and they are in a very convenient location. ...More

Cho Dang Gol is seriously one of the best spots if you’re into Korean food. What makes it stand out is their rice pots—they’re so different from what you get at other Korean restaurants. The rice is cooked in these traditional stone pots, which gives it a slightly crispy layer at the bottom that’s so satisfying to scrape off and eat. I ordered one of their rice pots along with two stews, both of which came with individual servings of rice (yes, you get even more rice). The stews were super flavorful and hearty, and they came with the usual banchan (side dishes) that were all fresh and delicious. At the end of the meal, they give you this warm tea made from the rice pot’s leftover water—it’s supposed to help with digestion, and honestly, it’s such a nice finishing touch....More
