Chinatown Basketball Club, or CBC, is a weekly celebration of pickup hoops with Saturday indoor runs, Sunday morning games and Sunday School fundamental lessons at Columbus Park.
Our friend who is a member of the club invited us to join for a Sunday session and it was such an awesome experience! We did warm ups, technique training, and also played a few games. I haven’t played basketball in so long and forgot how fun it is!
CBC Sunday School is a weekly basketball fundamentals workshop geared for beginning players or those who want to sharpen their skills. It is led by a different CBC’er each week who teaches according to their strengths. Classes have been offered on the basics of shooting, dribbling, passing, defensive concepts, footwork, screening. Sunday School seeks to create a supportive, fun and accessible space for collective learning, and is open to all!
This is an awesome activity that is open to anyone regardless of age, experience, and background. It’s also a great way to meet new people since everyone just comes with good vibes!
