Charlotte Patisserie’s pretty pastries 🍰 can be enjoyed at two locations in Brooklyn. My first visit was at their smaller shop in Cobble Hill at 201 Court St. I had the smoked salmon arugula sandwich for lunch accompanied by the vanilla mousse cake and blackcurrant filling. The two flavors had a perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess. Before leaving, I ordered to go the double chocolate mousse and the lavender Cassie Citron cake which is a blackcurrant mousse and lemon filling with a splash of Prosecco.
The counterperson recommended I check out the Greenpoint location at 596 Manhattan Ave. She said there were more pastry selections there and also has a back garden. It was on my second visit here that I learned the two pastry shops are Polish-owned and the pastry chef was trained in Paris, France. Kelly Ripa had even ordered a PB&J cake 🎂 here for her birthday!
The Greenpoint location serves wine🍷/beer🍺 and cocktails.🍸Be sure to try their cocktails with selections of Polish vodka for their espresso martini and apple grove. There is such a fancy array of macrons, fruit tarts, croissants, eclairs, cloud cakes, mousse cakes and carrot and red velvet cakes. My friend tried the tiramisu and I had the tea cake which is a macadamia nut cake with salted caramel covered in milk chocolate. It was a light cake with layers of puff pastry imbedded with pieces of macadamia nuts and light cream.
Both locations provided a cozy, laid back and friendly atmosphere for an after work crowd or down time during the day. I highly recommend both locations for their exquisite sweet treats. Please comment here on their drink menu if you happen to check it out. 😉
