A friend recently introduced me to Cat Park just above University City in Mantua. I don’t know how I went this long without going! All the cats are super cute and have their own personalities. Treats are kept in the little lending library if you are trying to make a friend with a kitty while there. I highly recommend going if you are searching for some down time surrounded by some cats. Ironically, found this right before I was going to buy a cart right in the area, so we made a detour because how could you not…a cat park, with a bunch of cute plants and some friendly cats looking for food / loving or play. Before we even turned the street, I saw a cat head staring at us!
The tortie came right up to us and was so friendly, and was loving neck scratches. The tortie even jumped up on a chair to sit near me for more scratches, so cute! The white and grey one was the friendliest/cuddliest and just kept rubbing all over us. You could see the white/grey one has a issue with it’s one eye, but the sign says the cats aren’t homeless, so gonna check back in and see if it clears up or if I can help. The darker tabby with the white paws wasn’t really insterested in scritches, but was interested in some cat food! So that one hung around to eat and then ventured off. By the time we were leaving, a black and white one showed up too, but he didn’t complete approach so we didn’t push it.
There are so many areas for them to slink off to, except I didn’t see any water bowls - might have to work on that. But the best and cutest part is the little library - there are some books in there, a decent amount actually - that also has a cat toy to play with the cats with (the grey and white one wanted to), some catnip (the grey and white one and tortie liked it), and a can off food (which all the cats except the grey and white one ate, idk why the grey and white one wasn’t). It was so cute just getting to go and give them some love, such a cute little cove of the city that we definitely will be returning to frequently.
