I went to a dance performance tonight at Carvalho Park, a gallery in Williamsburg that focuses on performing arts and architecture. This was the second of three performances in this series - Check out the next one on August 8, or catch the next series!
They had free wine and sparkling water to enjoy while walking around the painting exhibit that was on display in the main room.
It’s free to RSVP and they say they limit attendees but it was fairly crowded for the space, and a lot of people sat on the ground because there were no seats and it got pretty hot while we were waiting for the performance to start.
The performance started a few minutes after 7 and was about 20 minutes total. The dancers were very talented (former NYC ballet dancers) but the style was definitely unique. It was nice to get there a little early and see the art on its own and then with the dancers.
Definitely worth checking out since it’s free! But it’s small and kind of out of the way, so I recommend going to Amant (another gallery around the corner) or a nearby brewery to make it worth the trip. ...More
