Okay, let me start by saying this might sound a little contradictory — but bear with me. I finally stopped by the Burlington in Chelsea, and I have a lot of mixed feelings.
I went in with no big expectations, and was honestly surprised by the selection. They had some really good stuff — recognizable brands, quality pieces, and amazing prices!! I found a Nine West blazer originally priced at $128 for just $29.99, and a bunch of other staples from brands I actually wear. Including my makeup brands all at $3!!! But here’s the catch: the line to check out was ridiculous. I went in the early afternoon (around 1 or 2 p.m.), and I waited for an hour just to pay. I nearly left multiple times. I even took a work call while standing in line — that’s how long it was.
And the thing is, I thought to myself, “This cannot be worth it.” But then I got home, tried everything on, and honestly? It was worth it. That part surprised me. The prices were that good. The quality was that solid. And best of all — I found a bottle of Marie Claire keratin shampoo/conditioner that has basically vanished from every shelf and website I’ve searched. It was 50% off at 12$ at Burlington and since it’s now going for $50–$60 elsewhere (if you can even find it), I stayed just for that.:)))
Still, I would not go again at that time of day. It was exhausting, and it really ate into my afternoon. I might go again, but only if I’m there as soon as they open (around 8:30 or 9 a.m.) — otherwise, it is just not worth the line.
So would I recommend it? Kind of. If you love a deal and can get there early, yes — it is worth checking out. But if you are short on time, easily overwhelmed, or not a fan of long lines and crowded aisles, maybe skip it. Or at least, pick a weekday morning.
All in all, Burlington in Chelsea has legit finds. But your experience will depend entirely on when you go....More
