The Barnegat Light Museum was on my radar mostly because they offer a special stamp for my lighthouse passport program, despite not being located on the grounds of the actual lighthouse. I was pleasantly surprised to find beautiful gardens surrounding a quaint schoolhouse museum that hosts a magnificent first order Fresnel lense. The museum also hides hundreds, if not thousands, of interesting pieces of LBI’s past.
The museum and gardens are free, so I recommend anyone with an hour or two to kill stop by to check it out. ...More
