Green all around 💚💚 I love pandan flavored things so this was right up my alley. It's this leaf that makes for earthy flavors, popular with asian desserts!
Tried the honeycomb cake ($5), coffee cake ($5), latte ($6). All pandan flavored!! If you really want to try one thing the honeycome cake has an interesting springy chewy texture, never tried something like it before. The flavor is super subtle and of course not too sweet :) 🌱
The latte I was hoping for more intense pandan flavor but it was so subtle for coffee it didn't stand out enough. Really enjoyed the coffee cake too that's a safe option if honeycomb cake texture turns you off. 🍰...More

I had such an amazing time at Banh by Lauren because, growing up in Southeast Asia, I ate food flavored naturally with pandan. Banh by Lauren really hits the spot for me and made me miss home a little bit. Their pandan chiffon cake and pandan latte were absolutely delicious. I also tried their honeycomb cake and fried sesame ball, which were also scrumptious. 10/10 all around and will definitely be going back soon!...More

If you’re into desserts with texture and flavor that hits different you have to check out Bánh by Lauren in Chinatown. It’s a cozy little café run by a husband and wife team and everything is made with so much care
Lauren started this during COVID after being laid off from Gramercy Tavern and now they’ve got their own brick and mortar and it’s honestly a gem
