Atlanta’s not exactly known for weekend thrills, but if you’re like me—lazy and in need of some fun—Activate Game is perfect. It’s a giant indoor fitness-themed game space where you team up with friends, challenge yourself, and get a workout without even realizing it. You have 75 minutes to play, and you can always extend if you’re not done! The laser maze is definitely the toughest and most intense. You’ll be running, climbing, and dodging. It’s a full-on cardio session. Just be prepared for the smoke—it’s thick! Difficulty: 4.5/5. Next, we’ve got the number wall game. Hit numbers in order as they light up, and the difficulty ramps up fast. Pro tip: split the walls into corners for faster reactions! Difficulty: 4/5. Hopscotch isn’t as cute as it sounds—it’s a leg workout! Difficulty: 3/5. Then, there’s basketball—shoot hoops, but make sure the ball crosses the red sensor to count. Difficulty: -0.5/5. The ball throw screen game is a mix of matching games and asteroid smashing. Good for eye coordination and brain exercise. Difficulty: -1/5. Two more games are about reactions and team speed—but they’re not as exciting. Overall, it’s a fun way to get moving. Overall, it was a great experience—definitely a fun spot for a weekend with friends or a date. The process is pretty smooth: sign in, sign a waiver, and grab a wristband before storing your stuff. The wristband is key—it lets you scan into games and keeps track of your remaining time. Inside, there are multiple rooms, each with different challenges and difficulty levels. You always start at level 1 and scan your wristband to enter. If a room is occupied, a wait sign appears. Once you're inside, you can keep playing as long as you don’t lose. If no one is waiting outside, you can go for another round; if there’s a queue, you’ll be prompted to leave. Laser and Grids were hands-down the best ones—everyone in my group agreed! Definitely recommend wearing athletic clothes—this is a legit workout. After 75 minutes, I had burned over 300 calories and was drenched in sweat. Totally worth it!...More
