Just visited the House of Craft x Dior exhibit and I am still in awe!! The exhibition is stunning, filled with rarely seen sketches, artworks, and fashion pieces from Christian Dior. The pop up is at 28 Pine Street in Manhattan, and the space itself is gorgeous. It is slightly underground with a dramatic central fountain, and the architecture beautifully mirrors the craftsmanship and elegance of the work on display!!
While the exhibit alone is worth the visit, the highlight for me was the afternoon talk series. I had the chance to hear from Matthew Yokoboksy, curator at the Brooklyn Museum and the brilliant mind behind Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams and Solid Gold. He also curated the Visible Storage collection at the museum!
The talks are completely free, but you do need to register in advance, and they are so worth it. Everyone showed up dressed to the nines, with some of the most incredible Dior pieces and the biggest hats you have ever seen!!
Even if you cannot make a talk, I highly recommend walking through the exhibit. But if you can attend a talk, do not miss it!!
