Tonight, I had the most amazing experience at a new and up-and-coming spot right in the heart of Harlem — Native Harlem, serving elevated West African cuisine with a special focus on Nigerian flavors 🇳🇬. It’s on the 2nd floor of the Magic Johnson Theatre. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was everything! The décor was modern, beautiful, and so thoughtfully designed. I kicked things off with a deliciously crafted Lemon Drop during happy hour that set the tone just right. For dinner, I ordered a Lychee Martini and the Escovitch Red Snapper — perfectly seasoned and full of flavor — while my friends had the fire-grilled lamb chops and couldn’t stop raving about them. 👏🏾🔥. I would be remised if I didn’t tell you about the jollof rice - the right kind of spicy and so perfectly cooked - amazing!! As if the food and drinks weren’t enough, we were treated to live entertainment throughout the evening — a young musician on the trumpet bringing smooth, soulful energy, followed by a jaw-dropping acrobat performance, and a stunning woman gracefully dancing through the space on stilts. Yes, stilts! 🎷🎪 By the end of the night, my guests declared I’m now officially in charge of all future restaurant picks — and honestly, I’ll take that crown. 👑✨ If you haven’t been to Native Harlem yet, put it on your list. You’ll thank me later! #NativeHarlem #HarlemEats #WestAfricanCuisine #GoodVibesOnly #FoodieFinds #LemonDropLove #HarlemNights...More
